Written in 1959, Magnum Opus is the second alchemical work by Samael Aun Weor, the first one being Treatise on Sexual Alchemy (1954).

In this book the author deals with Alchemy from an entirely Kabbalistic point of view, following the twenty-two Major Arcana of the Tarot; since, as he says, the ‘Magnum Opus, or Great Work, has twenty-two fundamental keys…’

This explanation is unfolded in the first chapter of the book ‘The Magnum Opus’, which constitutes the main core of the book.

Another outstanding chapter is chapter three, ‘The Resurrection of the Dead’, where the author explains the thirteen alchemical figures of the Golden Book of Abraham. These are the figures which Nicolas Flamel immortalized when he reproduced them in stone in the Cemetery of the Innocents of Paris, which was built under his patronage.

These famous figures depict major aspects concerning the Great Work of Alchemy, which anyone endowed with the Donum Dei (gift of God) will be able to fully understand, assimilate and experience, leading him or her to full Alchemical Resurrection.

The two other remaining chapters (2 and 4), entitled ‘Kundalini’ and ‘The Cosmic Mother’ respectively, complete this true esoteric gem which cannot be absent from the library of any serious aspirant to the Mysteries.

This is a practical book on Yoga (the science of union with God or Self-Realization).

Primarily, this is a book on Agni Yoga or Yoga of Fire; in other words, a book on Kundalini (the Sacred Fire of Pentecost).

Its thirteen chapters deal with the Sacred Fire of Kundalini: its nature, awakening, development and powers (siddhis).

Chiefly intended for Gnostic couples, as a handbook for the awakening of Kundalini, it also contains chapters and exercises for single people, in connection with previous preparation for the awakening of the Sacred Fire.

In one of its chapters, the book includes the only Eastern pranayama exercise given by Samael Aun Weor.

The Mysteries of the Fire is a good example that the author is not only an expert in Western Esotericism but in Eastern Esotericism as well.

The book includes a dedicated glossary of difficult terms (mainly Sanskrit ones) for a better understanding of its content.

Written in 1954, Treatise on Sexual Alchemy is the first book on alchemy which Samael Aun Weor wrote; his second book being Magnum Opus, written a few years later.

In its twenty-eight chapters, Treatise on Sexual Alchemy deals with the mysterious science of alchemy, specifically Western Alchemy, as it was known throughout the Middle Ages, thanks to a number of Adepts who realized and taught it in the last past centuries.

These great Adepts always knew how to transmit the alchemical knowledge through symbols, allegories and mysterious sentences, so that the Knowledge could be only understood by prepared people and not be desecrated.

In this book, the author also reveals the Great Arcanum of Sexual Magic; an arcanum that was kept secret during the whole history of humanity, since its divulgence was completely forbidden.
