Synopsis of the Book
The Revolution of Dialectic is a unique book in that it reaches a formidable pinnacle as far as Gnostic Psychology is concerned within the written work of Samael Aun Weor.
In the preface of the book, this work is described as the psychological work of Samael Aun Weor, and in its epilogue the author states the following, and we quote:
‘In this book, The Revolution of Dialectic, I have delivered the science that is necessary to achieve the Awakening of Consciousness…’
And he next exhorts us to study it thoroughly during many years.
The Revolution of Dialectic is an extensive work—it is divided into nine parts, with eighty-nine chapters or main subjects all in all.
In this book the author surprises us with the use of an innovative and modern language to transmit the Gnostic contents, in his continuous effort to convey the essence of his teaching to an increasing number of human beings in these present times. A quick glance at its table of contents will give us an idea of the scope and richness of the subjects dealt with in this book.
In this work, the author stresses the need for us to carry out a deep psychological change, an Integral Revolution, based on Psychotronics, on the action of the Consciousness, of the human Essence, which finds itself in a pitiful, even desperate, situation, since it is seriously conditioned (hypnotized) by the ordinary sensual mind and by the force of maya (universal illusion).
The author, as a real Adept who has experienced and accomplished the Integral Revolution in himself, is entirely qualified to guide any mature aspirant who really loves Gnosis, taking them step by step through all the stages of psychological liberation and the awakening of Consciousness.
As the title of the book suggests, The Revolution of Dialectic revolves around and advocates a new ‘dialectic’, a new way of reasoning, since the old dialectic, the old way of thinking, is exhausted, and is incapable of solving the serious problems afflicting humanity as a whole, both at an individual and a collective level. Humanity needs a new way of thinking (Psychological Thinking), based on Psychotronics, on the action of the Being.
In the words of Samael Aun Weor: ‘In the Age of the Revolution of Dialectic, the art of reasoning must be directly governed by the Being, so that it can be methodical and just. An objective art of reasoning will bring a pedagogic and integral change.’
Accordingly, and it is hardly surprising, the core of the book comprises subjects such as the science of the human mind (how and why the mind works), the difference between Objective Reason and Subjective Reason, the Dominion of the Mind, the Science of Meditation, and many other related subjects, placing special emphasis on the Methodology for the Elimination of the Ego, a subject that is extensively covered throughout the book—all of this fitting in with the general subject matter of the book, as it presents to us the Gnostic teaching with a new language, with a new didactics, for the development of a new ethics, the revolutionary ethics of the Awakened Consciousness.
So, now is the time to accomplish the radical transformation, or Integral Revolution, in view of the fact that time is running out and there is no time to waste, since we are conditioned by two limitations: our lifespan and the last moments of a dying civilization. To quote from the book again:
‘The brevity of life is a sufficient reason for us to be encouraged to elevate it with the Integral Revolution.’
‘There cannot be the slightest doubt that we are on the verge of a new world war, and for that reason we have written this book entitled The Revolution of Dialectic.’
Here we have, in this extraordinary book, the precise guide to fulfil our deepest longings and to attain the Inner Self-Realization of the Being.
